7 SEALS
REVELATION 6:2 1ST SEAL: WHITE HORSE Its rider was given a bow, and he was given a crown, and he rode out as a conqueror bent on conquest. | MATTHEW 24:4-5 Watch out who deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming , ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. |
REVELATION 6:4 2ND SEAL: FIERY RED HORSE Its rider was given power to take peace from earth and to make men slay each other. To him was given a large sword. | MATTHEW 24:6-7 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. |
REVELATION 6:5-6 3RD SEAL: BLACK HORSE Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand. "A quart of wheat for a day’s wages, and three quarts of barley for a day’s wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!" | MATTHEW 24:7 There will be famines, |
REVELATION 6:8 4TH SEAL: PALE HORSE Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth. | MATTHEW 24:7 and earthquakes in various places. |
BUT THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF SORROWS
MATTHEW 24:8
REVELATION 6:9-11 5TH SEAL: MARTYRS I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained. They called out in a loud voice, "How long, Sovereign Lord, holy and true, until you judge the inhabitants of the earth and avenge our blood?" They were told to wait a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and brothers who were to be killed as they had been was completed. | MATTHEW 24:9-11 Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. MATTHEW 24:13 But he who stands firm to the end will be saved. MATTHEW 24:21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now - and never to be equaled again. MATTHEW 24:24-25 For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect - if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time. LUKE 23:28-30 Jesus turned and said to them, "Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children. For the time will come when you will say, ‘Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!’ Then they will say to the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and to the hills, ‘Cover us!’ REVELATION 7:14 I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. REVELATION 12:11 They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death. |
THE TWO WITTNESSES
REVELATION 11:3
And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophecy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth.
REVELATION 6:12-17 6TH SEAL: SON / MOON / STARS There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind. The sky receded like a scroll, rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and every free man hid in caves and among the rocks of mountains. They called to the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the lamb! For the day great day of his wrath has come, and who can stand? | REVELATION 12:6-14 The woman fled into the desert to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days. (144,000???) And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down - that ancient serpent called the Devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him. Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives as much as to shrink from death. Therefore rejoice, you heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has gone down to you! He is filled with fury, because he knows his time is short." When the dragon saw that he had been hurled to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. The woman was given the two wings of a great eagle, so that she might fly to the place prepared for her in the desert, where she would be taken care of for a time, times and half a time, out of the serpent’s reach. REVELATION 12:17 Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to make war against the rest of her offspring - those who obey God’s commandments and hold to the testimony of Jesus. REVELATION 13:7 He was given power to make war against the saints and to conquer them. And he was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. REVELATION 13:10 If anyone is to go into captivity, into captivity he will go. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, with the sword he will be killed. This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints. |
THE 144,000
REVELATION 7:2-3
Then I saw another angel coming up from the east, having the seal of the living God. He called out in a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm the land and the sea. (Could this be the 1st four trumpets?)
"Do not harm the land or the sea or the trees until we put a seal on the foreheads of the servants of our God." (144,000 from all the tribes of Israel —> verse 4-8. Hereby the faithful Israelites is saved from those dangers)
THE MARTYRED
REVELATION 7: 13-14
Then one of the elders asked me, "These in white robes - who are they, and where did they come from?"
I answered, "Sir, you know." And he said, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the lamb.
REVELATION 8:1-5 7TH SEAL: THE SEVEN TRUMPETS When he opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all the saints, on the golden altar before the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of the saints, went up before God from the angel’s hand. Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and hurled it on the earth; and there came peals of thunder, rumblings, flashes of lightning and an earthquake. |
